Santiago Cimadevilla & Emma Breedveld
Bio en Occupation
Violinist Emma Breedveld and bandoneon player Santiago Cimadevilla have the great talent to play straight from the heart. That makes them welcome guests on stages at home and abroad. In the exciting programme 'Tango moods' they explore the many emotions the tango has to offer, from rough and earthy to melancholic and intimate. They play tango classics as well as their own compositions and improvisations. In an intimate setting, especially for listeners, they show the richness of Argentine Tango.
Santiago Cimadevilla was educated at the Rotterdam Conservatory (Department of Tango), where he was taught by Victor Villena and Leo Vervelde, among others. After his studies he obtained his masters with Gustavo Beytelmann. After his studies he toured all over the world with internationally renowned tango orchestras such as that of Alfredo Marcucci and Orquesta Tipica Fernandez Fierro.
Emma Breedveld received her first violin lessons from violin pedagogue Coosje Wijzenbeek. She obtained her master's degree with István Párkányi at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. She took master classes with various musicians, including Yvri Gitlis, Gilles Apap and Giora Feidman.
